This medication has been a god-send! I started it the day Supernatural came back for the second half of Season 13! Unfortunately, I only went back to work for a few weeks before the stress and anxiety of the last two years caught up with me, causing sever episodes of vertigo. I'm scared to go back!
In my abundance of spare time I watched a lot of Netflix and Hulu, waiting for the constant dizziness to pass. After two months, I decided if I was going to feel dizzy anyway, why not read some Destiel? (like I'd wanted to the entire time).
I've always been a strong believer in watching new Supernatural episodes the second it airs, which I eventually let slide to the day it airs when work interfered. I've just been so busy that I haven't been able to completely immerse myself in the show for a very, very long time. Now I only miss it by choice if I'm seeing a "midnight" movie with my brother, which still allows me the opportunity to be fully involved, commercial free on my DVR!

Funny how getting into Supernatural again has me back reading fic like a bad addiction! As far as they've come, canon Dean and Cas just isn't enough! All my bookmarks are from Season 5, and I wasn't able find much of anything from the last few seasons on LiveJournal. I have no idea how to used Tumblr, so I went to the source: Archive of Our Own.
I started off going through the latest fics without much satisfaction before filtering out completed explicit fics. I'd been thinking for a while of making my way through all of them, starting with the very first stories published, bookmarking everything and weeding them out as I went.

It's the only thing keeping me going. I've chosen to ignore the finale completely and just indulge in fanfiction for the summer. I don't wanna think about...I have theories. Which are also keeping me going. Knowing there are ways to fix this but...for now: fic. And I'm diving in head first!
Since the Season 13 finale, I've gone through quite a few fics and have more than enough to rec. So I'm adding them here now! I love them all and I can't wait to re-read them with the same ferocity and desperation as I do all the rest.
Tags don't bother me now, since they are "established" as far as I'm concerned, and I love that there are still "first time" fics. I've always held my faves in high regard and that definitely hasn't changed. My standards may have even been raised. I forgot how many crappy pics it takes to find one that blows your mind, touches your heart...and makes your toes curl.
